I am not recommending these facilities so much as presenting options for my patients and their families. Because I believe that each person has to take responsibility for their own health, whether or not they have insurance, I will post to this page resources that have been brought to my attention for sliding scale, low/no cost facilities.

Low-Cost Health Clinics:

• New York City Free Clinic
• Ryan Center
• Pre-Natal Care Assistance Program
  This program provides pre-natal, delivery and at least two months post-natal care for women who meet certain income guidelines.

Low-Cost Therapy:

• The Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies
  Cost is determined by you and your therapist
• The Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy
